The countdown for the music release of Vijay's Jilla has begun. Fans of Illayathalapathy are eagerly waiting to hear the songs from the much-hyped Tamil flick. Director Nesan has confirmed the news and said that the music, which is composed by D Imman, will be released on December 21. But they are not holding an event to launch the album. The team is busy with the post-production works and they don't have much time to have a function for the music launch.

"We are extremely busy with the post-production work and since we have already locked the release date, we wanted to ensure everything is wrapped up on time. Therefore, we have decided not to have a grand audio launch," the film's director Nesan told Red Pix

The trailer of 'Sivappu' starring Naveen Chandra, Rajkiran and Rupa Manjari and directed by Sathya Siva of 'Kazhugu' fame has been released. The film is about Tamils who have fled Sri Lanka and taken refuge in India. Sathyaraj, Selva, Thambi Ramiah will be seen in pivotal roles in the film, which has music by NR Raghunandhan.

Produced by Muktha Entertainment, the cinematography is by national award winner Madhu Ambat and editing by Kasi Viswanath. The film is about the refugees, who want to lead a free life, and try to escape to Australia. But, they get a raw deal from the mediator and end up as construction workers here. The film deals with the lives of these people who don't have a steady place to live.

Ilaiyathalapathy Vijay's Jilla got a superb opening all around the world. The film took a record breaking collection in its first weekend and it is said that the first three days collections are better than Thuppakki.

Today the Jilla team including Vijay, RB chowdary, Mahat, Imman, Soori, Chennai distributor Thameens, TT distributor Sivakumar, overseas distributors and many participated in the success meet which is held at a popular star hotel in Chennai.

Speaking at the function Thameens (Chennai city distibutor of Jilla ) said " I would like to thank Vijay and RB Chowdary sir for the opportunity to release Jilla in Chennai. Usually I will be releasing Vijay's films in Kerala and now for the first time I have released a film in Chennai. The first 3 days gross collections of Jilla was extra-ordinary and it has collected 1.5 crores in the city alone which is much greater than Vijay's biggest hit Thuppakki".

The Trichy and Tanjavoor distributor said " Jilla's first three days collections are better than Nanban and Thuppakki, every one in the trade and theater owners are happy"

Madurai distributor said "Jilla is being enjoyed by family audience and it will be a big hit for sure"

The overseas distributor of Jilla said " The film got released many new locations like Bangkok ,Hong kong, South Africa and rest of the locations in around 200 theaters, the film showing a great collections in all the locations".

RB Chowdary said " This success meet is for the distributors and many fans and distributors chasing me down to add 'Eppa Mama treat song' again in the movie.

Speaking at the function Vijay said " Usually I don't arrange success meets for my movies but this time it is for my fans and the respect I'm having for RB Chowdry sir. Some of my friends showed me the video footage of the early morning shows and celebrations for Jilla which was toucing".

On Veeram Vijay said " I've heard Veeram is getting good reports , I would like to convey my wishes to Ajith and director Siva". Vijay also said he would like to work with Imman again after Jilla.
